This is done already. When in the Query Editor you can use the [Open From Disk] button on the internal Editor toolbar to load external queries. After changing and hitting save it will save the query back to disk. PS: When running queries on disk DBManager does not know if the query can be run against one specific database. In this case you need to open the external query everytime you need to edit. I don't know if you already know this, we have another tool that deals with this situations much better: QueryIT. It can handle much more complex queries and it works primarily with disk files, which includes an explorer to find queries on disk. This tool was created to help creating complex queries as well as helping users with no knowledge of SQL code to create their own report.
